1.Picnic at the Eiffel Tower
We went to see the Eiffel tower and had a picnic on Day 2 of our trip and absolutely loved it. We picked up some fruits, salad, dips, pastries and drinks from shops near market street and find a picnic bench or a path of grass in Champs du Mars.
We loved having the space and a place to relax while the kids entertained themselves in the park.
2. Rent Vintage boats at Jardin du Luxembourg
On Day 1 we picked up some pastries and breakfast from Eric Kayser near by Jardin du Luxembourg before we headed to the Grand Bassin duck pond which is where around 10:30am-11am a stand will open up in the corner with all these cute vintage sailboats. We rented 2 for the kids and they had so much fun playing with them! Each boat will have a different country flag to it which is a fun little activity for the kids to pick and choose what they want. The 6 euros rental gives you 30minutes each and then you just bring it back to the owner.
3. Grab a meal at Rue Montorgueil
With so many restaurants and cafe to choose from - this street has it all and is one of our favorite places in Paris to go with kids. There are also cute boutique stores, toy shops, and places to go shopping for souvenirs.
4. Visit Halle Saint Pierre bookstore
Located just underneath the Saecre Cour
Halles Saint Pierre is not just a bookstore but also an art gallery, museum and cafe. This is a great spot to stop by if you are in the Montmartre neighborhood and planning to visit the Sacré Cœur.
5. Get on a River cruise
There are multiple different Seine river cruises to choose from - we went for the company called Vedettes du Pont Neuf. This cruise starts and stops at the same place and is about an hour long with guides in english and french. It’s a special experience seeing Paris from this perspective and was nice to learn a bit more about the history of all the architecture.
