eco friendly easter basket finds for toddlers & kids

eco friendly easter basket toys & books

For babies, toddlers & kids

Last year we had a Easter egg hunt with friends and was not sure if our 1 year old toddler would understand but sure enough he had so much fun collecting all the different colored eggs and putting them into the basket. He was a little too young to really get excited about a basket but this year we are making it special for our two kids to start a new family tradition too. Here are some of our favorite more sustainable items to fill up the kids Easter baskets with.

  1. Soft Bunny - carefully knitted and embroidered with alpaca wool, non toxic dyes would make a cute gift for little ones to keep

  2. Wooden Rainbow Stacker - we’ve had this for years and it’s one of the most versatile and well played with kind of toy for both boys and girls

  3. Oli Ella natural woven basket - some of the cutest baskets in our house are from Oli Ella

  4. Wooden jump rope - a fun and cute idea for the older kids

  5. Eco dye eggs - or wooden eggs for painting and creating

  6. Wooden Camera - whether for decorating a nursery or using it on a festive occasion or to play with

  7. Book - called “More than a little” This is a book for a friend you appreciate, one who matters more than a little. It's a celebration of someone who's so good, it's hard to find just the right words to share how much they mean.

  8. Grow seed balls - simply plant, water and grow. These seed balls have non-GMO seeds, clay and worm castings.

  9. Eco-playdough - worry free play with non toxic play dough from eco-kids, made all from natural ingredients with essential oils.

There are many ways to celebrate Easter apart from these gifts, encouraging their creativity to start a fairyland of some sort would be a fun thing to do, baking cookies or a floral cake, using flowers to dye easter eggs or a easter picnic with friends and family is always a good one too!

What are some of you favorite ways to spend Easter with kids?
